Vegas was fun - lots of glitz and busyness, but a great getaway from USC for the weekend. Peter and I walked most of the strip at night and stopped by all of the famous hotels, shopping malls and casinos (the Bellagio was packed!), and had a nice dinner buffet at the Wynn where we stayed overnight. It was a beautiful hotel, and it should be since apparently it cost over $2 billion to develop (and did so successfully that they built Encore as well). I also made $2.50 on the slot machines! Definitely not groundbreaking, but at least I didn’t lose money.

I feel like Vegas is an event-driven, go there once and you’ve seen it all type of place. It oozes materialism, but what else would you expect in the city of sin? It’s worth a visit - as all USC kids end up doing anyhow - but I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon. Stay two days, and you get your fix.
